St Francis & the Sultan



An excellent article appears in the September 25 issue of Commonweal.

In it Paul Moses draws from his newly published book The Saint and the Sultan. The work investigates the time when Francis and a companion enter the Sultan's camp on a self-appointed peace mission. Once again we see Francis as a saint for our time.
