Cusp-a point of transition, as from one historical period to the next;
the borders between the twelve astrological signs.
You are considered to be "on the cusp" if you were born
within a day or two of the beginning or end of any sign.

Readings of the Day

St Vincent of Sarragosa

Today, 22 January, is the feast of St Vincent who was born in Huesca and became a deacon of the church of Saragossa (Zaragoza). He was tortured to death in Valencia, in the persecution of Diocletian. After his death, his cult spread rapidly through the Roman Empire.

This is a detail from a reredos in the Dominican nuns' monastery in Salamanca.
