Cusp-a point of transition, as from one historical period to the next;
the borders between the twelve astrological signs.
You are considered to be "on the cusp" if you were born
within a day or two of the beginning or end of any sign.

Feast of the Presentation of the Lord

All powerful Father,
Christ your Son became man for us
and was presented in the temple.
May he free our hearts from sin
and bring us into your presence.

Evening Prayer, Gospel Canticle Antiphon:

Today the Blessed Virgin Mary presented the child Jesus in the temple; and Simeon, inspired by the Holy spirit, took him in his arms, and gave thanks to God.

Simeon's Canticle            Luke 2:29-32

Lord, now you let your servant go in peace;
your word has been fulfilled:
My own eyes have seen the salvation
which you have prepared in the sight of every people:
a light to reveal you to the nations
and the glory of your people Israel.
